Happy new year ๐
We kicked off 2026 with a major overhaul to our analytics engine and a completely rewritten REST API. These are the two most-requested features from our power users, and we're excited to finally ship them. Here's what changed and why it matters for your workflow.

๐ Major Upgrade
Analytics v2: See What Your Readers Actually Do
The old analytics showed you opens and clicks. Useful, but shallow. Analytics v2 goes deeper: click maps show exactly which links in your edition get the most engagement, subscriber journey tracking reveals how readers progress through your archive over time, and engagement scoring automatically segments your audience into 'highly engaged,' 'moderate,' and 'at-risk' buckets. The new REST API (v2) is a complete rewrite. It's faster, better documented, and supports webhooks for real-time event streaming. Every event โ open, click, subscribe, unsubscribe โ can now trigger a webhook to your own systems. This unlocks powerful integrations: sync engagement data to your CRM, trigger Slack notifications for replies, or build custom dashboards.

12 new analytics dimensions | 40ms avg API response time (was 200ms) | โ webhooks for real-time events |

Key takeaway
Next up: we're building the AI agent (codename 'Pepper') that lives inside the editor and writes drafts in your voice. We're also working on a visual template builder for non-technical users. Both are targeted for the March update.
